## TikTok costs

- **Search.** A TikTok search costs 1 to 42 credits on SocialCrawl. Check the price of your planned searches.
- **Endpoint prices.** TikHub charges $0.001 to $0.01 per request. Check the price of each endpoint you need.
- **Empty answers.** One TikHub endpoint doc says a 200 response with empty data is billed. Test this with your own calls.

## What to test before you pay

Use each API’s free credit. Run the same calls on every API.

1. **A new video.** Check how long a new video takes to appear.
2. **View counts.** Compare the count with the TikTok app. Check it again an hour later.
3. **A long comment thread.** Page through the full thread, including replies. Count all returned comments.
4. **A private account.** Check for a clear error. Check whether the error costs anything.
5. **A sound or hashtag.** Count how many videos the API lets you page through.
6. **Empty search results.** Search for a word with no results. Check the cost.
