# SocialFetch vs TikHub

A normalized multi-platform API with published ops behavior against a cheaper raw-payload specialist with TikTok and Douyin depth.

SocialFetch and TikHub sit at opposite ends of the same market. SocialFetch sells a normalized schema across 21 platforms with published uptime, failure-billing rules, and change monitors. TikHub sells raw per-platform payloads at a much lower per-request price, with over a thousand endpoints and the deepest TikTok and Douyin coverage. The per-1k price gap is large, and what you get for paying it is operational certainty and one parser.

## Pricing

The gap is plain: TikHub runs $0.50-$1.00 per 1k requests depending on daily volume, while SocialFetch's best pack rate is ~$1.64 per 1k (over three times TikHub's floor), and its $14 entry pack costs $14 per 1k. At high volume on TikHub's discount ladder, the same million lookups can cost a third of the SocialFetch price. SocialFetch's counterweights are contractual rather than cheap: one flat credit per lookup on every endpoint, infrastructure failures never billed, and packs that never expire. TikHub does not state its failure billing publicly, and credit cost varies by endpoint.

## What the premium buys

SocialFetch normalizes 21 platforms into one schema, so a pipeline parses one shape instead of sixteen, and it puts its operations on the record: 99.8% uptime over a rolling 90 days, ~3.2s average live fetch, a request ID on every response, and change monitors with signed webhooks. TikHub publishes no uptime figure and rate-limits at 10 RPS by default with upgradable tiers, but it exposes over a thousand endpoints, including Douyin depth that SocialFetch does not list at all. TikHub's payloads stay close to raw platform shapes, which specialists often prefer.

## Verdicts

- **TikTok or Douyin at volume.** TikHub. Deeper endpoints and the lowest per-request price here.
- **Multi-platform pipelines with one parser.** SocialFetch: 21 platforms, one schema, one credit per lookup.
- **Ops guarantees on the record.** SocialFetch, the only one of the two with published uptime, latency, and failure billing.
- **Price-sensitive raw scraping.** TikHub, if 10 RPS default (or a paid tier) covers your bursts.
- **Watching targets for changes.** SocialFetch's signed-webhook monitors; TikHub lists no equivalent.
