# SociaVault vs SocialFetch

One-time credit packs against an operations-focused social API: pricing mechanics and platform mixes compared.

Checked August 2026. Public pricing pages. No affiliate links.

SociaVault and SocialFetch both sell social data through non-expiring credit packs with a free tier and no required subscription. SociaVault is the cheaper headline at bulk; SocialFetch publishes more about how it behaves in production. The deciding factors are your endpoint mix and how much operational transparency you want from a small vendor.

## The credit math

At the bulk end the headline rates look close: ~$2.00 against ~$1.64 per thousand. The gap opens at the endpoint level. SocialFetch charges one credit per lookup everywhere. SociaVault's advanced endpoints (comments, analytics, historical pulls) cost 10 to 100 credits per call, so a comment-heavy workload can consume a SociaVault pack an order of magnitude faster than the headline suggests.

The reverse also matters: for simple 1-credit profile reads at small volume, SociaVault's $29 entry pack is far cheaper per call than SocialFetch's $14 starter.

Price your actual endpoint list on both before deciding. The winner flips with the mix.

## Schema and operations

SocialFetch normalizes responses across its 21 platforms and publishes its operational behavior: uptime, latency, request IDs on every response, and explicit rules for what is billed when things fail. It also ships change monitors with signed webhooks and an MCP server for agent tooling.

SociaVault returns per-platform payloads and publishes less about operations, but reaches some long-tail services (Bluesky, Twitch, Linktree, Amazon storefronts, ad libraries) that fill niche needs.

Both are small vendors without published SLAs; test with the free credits first.

## Verdicts

- **Simple profile/post reads at small volume.** SociaVault. The entry pack is the cheapest per call here.
- **Comment-, analytics-, or history-heavy workloads.** SocialFetch. Flat one-credit pricing avoids SociaVault's multipliers.
- **One schema across platforms, or agent/MCP integration.** SocialFetch.
- **Niche long-tail platforms.** check SociaVault's list first.
