SociaVault vs SocialCrawl
Two variable-credit social data APIs compared on credit mechanics, long-tail coverage, and what a call really costs.
Checked August 2026 · public pricing pages · no affiliate links
SociaVault and SocialCrawl both sell non-expiring credit packs where the credit cost varies by endpoint, and both chase long-tail coverage beyond the big social networks. SociaVault prices in USD with steeper multipliers (10-25 for advanced, 50-100 for bulk and historical). SocialCrawl prices in GBP with milder ones (5-10 advanced, 20 universal search) and a unified schema across 48 platforms. Neither publishes uptime, so the real comparison is what your endpoint mix costs on each.

Credit mechanics
Sticker prices per 1k credits mean little here, because a credit is not a call on either vendor, and the currencies differ (USD against GBP). The multipliers are the story. A comments or analytics call costs 10-25 credits on SociaVault against 5-10 on SocialCrawl; SociaVault's bulk and historical endpoints run 50-100 credits, a class SocialCrawl does not list, while SocialCrawl's 20-credit universal search has no SociaVault counterpart. A basic-lookup workload lands near the headline rates on both. An analytics-heavy workload can cost many times the headline on SociaVault. Price your own mix in calls before trusting any per-1k figure.
Coverage
Both go long-tail past the majors. SociaVault's 25+ services include Snapchat, Bluesky, Twitch, Amazon Shop, Linktree, and ad libraries for Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn. SocialCrawl's 48 platforms and 380 endpoints reach into e-commerce (Amazon, eBay, Walmart), search engines, and review sites, wrapped in a unified schema with sentiment scores. SociaVault returns per-platform payloads, so parsing is per-platform work.
